In Loulé you can still see artisans working brass or copper in the streets of the town. Craftsmanship is also to be found in leatherware such as bags, belts and shoes, or embroided linen and tabelware. Loulé is well known for the morning market. Besides fresh fish, it has an excellent selection of fruit and vegetables.
An important event is the annual Carnival, one of the best in Portugal.'.
