Amazing rocks and colored cliffs frame the beaches on the western coast of the Algarve, from Sagres to Odeceixe. Surfers can expect a continuous and firm wind. The sandy beaches and the dunes are ideal for nature lovers and individualists but for small children in most cases not recommendable.
In summer, the major beaches have lifeguards and offer a variety of water sport facilities, restaurants, snack bars and bars.
