Algarve - Vila do Bispo - Sagres - The Beaches

The beaches of Vila do Bispo are more secluded, with colder water, more wind and wilder surf. They are exceptionally beautiful and very popular with hikers and surfers. Some have a more difficult access with steps and pathways

between the tall and majestic cliffs that are sheltering them.
The beaches are more peaceful the closer one gets to Cape St. Vicente. Beyond the Cape, going north, they are often deserted, even in midsummer.

In summer, the major beaches have lifeguards and offer a variety of water sport facilities, restaurants, snack bars and bars.
