Aljezur – Praia das Adegas (official) The official free beach (since 2004) is located on the south side of Odeceixe Beach. There is a second inlet, only accessible during low tide. At high tide the only access is through a path that goes down from the cliff. Facilities: Car Park, Lifeguard in summer. The free area consists of 700 metres facing the sea on the Ilha de Tavira. Part of the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, the island is accessible by boat from the quay in Tavira. The Barril Beach distinguishes itself by the quality of its clean and healthy environment and has been awarded the Blue Flag . The island Armona is accessible by regular boat trips from Culatra, Faro and Olhão. The flora and fauna of the region is very rich and diversified. Along the extensive beach there are many lovers of naturism. Olhão – Ilha da Fuseta (tolerated) The Ilha da Fuseta is one of the most protected beaches of the Algarve. From the village to the beach you have to take a regular boat.
Lagos – Praia dos Pinheiros (tolerated) Steep rocks surround this beach that is about 40 metres wide at high tide. It is signposted and access is by steps cut into the stone. Vila do Bispo – Praia das Furnas (tolerated) Surrounded by high cliffs this quiet sandy beach is perfect for naturists. Vila do Bispo – Praia do Beliche (tolerated) Follow the signs on the road from Sagres to Cape S.Vicente. The Beliche Beach is located close to the Cape. It consists of a large sandy area, accessible through a long stairway carved in the rocks. Burgau - Praia Cabanas Velhas (tolerated) Cabanas Velhas (Almádena) Beach is a small fishing beach that is not very crowded.
Lagos - Praia Meia Praia (tolerated) Meia Praia is a Blue Flag Beach about 4km long with equipment for the practice of nautical sports. Vila do Bispo – Praia do Zavial (tolerated) Praia do Zavial, in a cove at its western end, is very popular with naturists. There is little sand during high tide and access is along paths over the rocks. Zavial Beach is a Blue Flag Beach a the mouth of a small river. Alvor - Prainha (tolerated) Prainha Beach as the name suggests is a small beach accessible by a stairway carved in the rocks or you can use an elevator that belongs to the Restaurant there. Vila do Bispo – Praia da Cordoama (tolerated) Cordoama is a Blue Flag Beach consisting of a big sandy area and surrounded by high cliffs. Armação de Pera - Praia Grande (tolerated) The Praia Grande Beach consists off an extensive (about 2 Km) stretch of sand. Aljezur – Praias da Carrapateira (tolerated) Near the village of Carrapateira there are a number of free beaches. Bordeira, Amado and Murração are the favourites.
