The church of Porches was founded in the 16th century. Of the original church, ruined by the 1755 Earthquake only the chancel remains, with tiles from the 18th century (dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Encarnação).
The church has an 18th-century altarpiece of gilded carved wood with several images.
