Peel the onion and the garlic
Skin the tomatoes and take the seeds out
Cut everything into pieces and put it in a pan together with the oil.
Let it boil until obtaining a very thick mixture. (Some people add some
small clams)
Add the necessary water for the soup (1 liter aprox.) and let it boil
a little. Poach the eggs in this broth.
Cut the bread in slices and put them in the serving bowl (you may add
some finely cut smoked ham). Put the eggs on top and pour the broth over
everything.
